The Quran describes the Prophet as an excellent role model. Surely you have in the Messenger of God the pattern of excellence.... (33:21) This pattern is available to us in Hadith without which we are deprived of this Uswah which unifies the Muslim Ummah from Morocco to Indonesia in one Islamic Culture. Only a dishonest or insane person will deny the importance of Hadith in its continuing role to guarantee the social, political and cultural integrity of the Ummah. As Dr. Fazlur Rahman puts it, If all Hadith is given up, what remains but a yawning chasm of fourteen centuries between us and the Prophet. Admin Saaib Ahmed
