The RIGHT to KNOW to DECIDE! All major players are strategically planning their moves in anticipation of next month’s negotiations to carve up the Republic. In actual fact, it implicates the UN, EU, UK, Turkey, Britain and Greece and of-course my own grandmother – god bless her! A government spin is in full swing to convince the people that there is no other option but to accept an “internationally approved solution” based on a mythical Bi-zonal, Bi-communal Federation. In view of the impending talks, the claws are meticulously sharpened and for certain will leave deep gashes behind to stain this fragile earth. While the political charade continues, citizen’s opinions of both sides of the divide are disregarded as if they matter not! In fact, people have never been asked what kind of a solution they would like to see – it’s decided for them! It appears that the Anastasiades government and our inglorious Kommatokratia (politicocracy) concoct their own brew behind closed doors and expect citizens to swallow that concoction without objection. Without transparency, they deceived us in the past on numerous occasions: with the European Union application, the IMF-Troika, the Bail-in criminality and for certain there will be more political deviousness on the way – its all a matter of time! Since the present government (who made a complete U-Turn on all of it’s election promises) is publicly committed to negotiate a solution on the basis of a BBF, it is the peoples democratic right to approve the partition of the island or not! Governments and politicians can no longer be trusted. A Referendum beforehand is the only way to give legitimacy to any negotiations of the anticipated constitutional changes. It will be criminal to allow a temporary government make such a decision without the public’s consent! Once the people are well informed and make up their minds, they will then tell the leadership what solution they want to see negotiated and not the other way round!
