The RIGHT to Self Defense (Life) and to carry concealed in South Africa. Following the recent attack on legal firearm owners here in Cape Town South Africa by the owners of Canal Walk, one has to beg the question, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING ??? For decades now the overflowing evidence for a pro gun society continues to grow and grow. Now there might be some who disagree with me, well touch luck, use your brain and google, the evidence is all there. More guns LESS crime. Now here in South Africa we have some outstanding law enforcement officials, they are dedicated and professional, but unfortunately they have state training. Some of the blessed one have had training abroad and / or attend local courses and are passionate about there calling. BUT all to often we hear of poor police work, where the cops dont respond, they dont have fuel for there vehicles or as a family member experienced the cop on the line didnt know where the local Checkers was, on the main road down from the SAPS offices. Or the new SAPS commissioner again isnt even a police woman and wears medals that she never earned. What are we left to do, the laws in South Africa havent caught up with the crime wave we live under, security companies are there but cant even detain a suspect and transport him/ her to the local SAPS. I firmly believe legal firearm owners are the last defensive line before complete collapse of South Africa and now we are excluded from shopping for food. Now this article is not against the security company who looks after Canal Walk, but rather the owners making the usual knee jerk reaction so commonalty supported and shouted by that foreignly funded communist gun free South Africa. A side note:: I highly recommend people to go and see GFSAs offices, with all their security and armed response labels everywhere. I have and they told me back in2003 that they knew that the SAPS rent there guns to the criminals over the weekends, but yet they still want law abiding citizens to disarm and be slaughtered. Back to the poor decision made by Canal Walk, show them that they have made a mistake by NOT shopping there and any other shop / restaurant who bans the legal concealed carry of a firearm.
