The RJDC AGM was on 19th August. In the year ahead, the RJDC will focus on: 1. The Rota Survey. By repeating the survey in November, the intention - by working closely with the Heads of HR/Medical Staffing in each WoS Board - is to generate an even greater response for taking forward for discussion with management. 2. Rotas. Ensuring the Health Ministers recommendations are honoured in each WoS Board, and addressing any areas of concern through the appropriate local channels. 2. Junior Doctor Facilities and Catering, in accordance with HDL 2001 50. To continue to highlight where we believe facilities and catering fall short of the standards required, and utilising the ability to request an inspection by Daniel MacDonald (Scottish Govt) where necessary. Inspections have already been requested for all NHS GG&C sites including the New South Glasgow Hospital. 3. Improving Communications. We hope to make better use of BMAtv on Youtube. Have a look for yourself . What would YOU like to see on there from a local perspective? Let us know. youtube/user/BMAtv 4. The implementation of the Shape of Training Review report will be a major focus at UK/National level (with implementation groups being set up soon) which will have regional/local implications in the future. shapeoftraining.co.uk/review/1728.asp Meeting dates for 2014/15 session are: Monday 3rd November, Tuesday 10th February and Tues 5th May.
