The ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME has announced its 2015 inductees, and the honorees include GREEN DAY, BILL WITHERS, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN AND DOUBLE TROUBLE, LOU REED (as a solo artist), JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS, and the PAUL BUTTERFIELD BLUES BAND. RINGO STARR will be honored at the ceremony with The Award for Musical Excellence, and THE 5 ROYALES will get the Early Influence award. GREEN DAY is being honored in the bands first year of eligibility. Among those eligible but not chosen are NINE INCH NAILS, THE SMITHS, STING (as a solo act), N.W.A., WAR, KRAFTWERK, THE SPINNERS, THE MARVELETTES, and CHIC, which has been nominated nine times without winning,
