The RTD CollegePass Referendum is here! Each year the student bodies from the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and the University of Colorado Denver vote on whether or not we keep the RTD CollegePass Program. The RTD CollegePass Program gives Auraria Campus students unlimited access to Local, Limited, Express, and Regional bus services; light rail services in all fare zones; and a $5.00 credit toward the SkyRide bus service to DIA for $89.00 per student, per semester. Without the CollegePass, the same service would cost students $176.00 per month, or approximately $704.00 per semester. The voting will take place April 7–13, 2014. You can vote online at ahec.edu/RTDvote, or check your student email for a link to the voting site. “Shall the students of the Auraria Campus (the Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State University of Denver, and University of Colorado Denver at the Downtown Denver Auraria Campus) authorize the Board of Directors of the Auraria Higher Education Center to assess each institution a supplemental student fee not to exceed $89.00 per student per semester plus the established institutional collection fee, from August 18, 2014 through August 16, 2015, for the purpose of establishing an extension of the CollegePass Program (Student Bus and Light Rail Pass Program)?” Questions?
