The Rapture One of the most popular teachings today in Evangelical and Charismatic circles is the doctrine of the Rapture. The Rapture teaching is that there are two separate comings of Messiah. The first coming is secret and occurs before the future seven year Great Tribulation. At this coming Messiah YahShua comes for all genuine believers both living and dead. These saints meet King Messiah YahShua in the air and then are taken to Heaven to escape the horrible judgments that take place during the seven year tribulation. At the end of the great tribulation King Messiah YahShua returns to the earth with the saints. This coming is not secret but is observed by all. At this coming King Messiah crushes His opposition, judges mankind and sets up a one thousand year reign of saints upon the earth which is called the Millennium. The Rapturists are not unified in this belief. Pretribulation advocates speak of two separate comings while others prefer to speak of one coming in two separate stages or phases (phase one is the secret rapture and phase two is the visible coming in judgment). Hal Lindsey likes to refer to the rapture as “the great snatch.” He writes: “The word for ‘caught up’ actually means to ‘snatch up,’ and that’s why I like to call this marvelous coming event ‘The Great Snatch’! It’s usually referred to as the ‘Rapture,’ from the Latin word rapere, which means to ‘take away’ or ‘snatch out.’” THE RAPTURE LIE The Rapture! many a Christian live in constant fear and expectation of it, Christ may come tonight and snatch the Church away to heaven! they say. It will be a sudden, yet secret event. No one will see it happen. Only the effects - empty cars, empty houses, empty beds, workers missing from their jobs. The newspaper headlines will be like the day after: Millions Mysteriously Vanish! Graves Found Open and Empty! Massive Traffic Snarls Due to Missing Drivers! Planes Crash, Trains Wreck As Pilots and Engineers Disappear! All Children Have Disappeared! It wasnt until the 1800s that there was any significant group of believers around the world that looked for a rapture. IT WAS NOT TAUGHT BY ANYONE, except a couple Roman Catholic theologians. One of those was a Jesuit priest, Emmanuel Lacunza, who wrote a book in the year 1812 under the alias “Rabbi Ben-Ezra” titled The Coming of Messiah in Glory and Majesty. Within the pages of this elaborate forgery Lacunza taught the novel notion that Messiah returns not once, but twice, and at the first stage of His return He raptures His Church so they can escape the reign of the future Antichrist. This book soon found its way onto the shelves of the library of the Archbishop of Canterbury in London, England where Rev. Edward Irving discovered Lacunzas book. Irving was the first mega-preacher. In 1828 his open-air meetings in Scotland drew crowds of 10,000 people. His Church in London seated one thousand people and was packed week after week. Irving fell in love with Lacunzas book and became obsessed with its teachings. It was at this time this learned minister heard what he believed to be a Voice from heaven commanding him to preach the Secret Rapture of the Saints. His followers were called Irvingites. About the same time there began a new movement dissatisfied with the spiritually lethargy that prevailed in the Church known as the Plymouth Brethren. A man by the name of John Nelson Darby rose as the leader of the Plymouth Brethren from 1830 onward. It would be at a Bible Study in the castle of Lady Powerscourt that the two movements met. The Irvingites came to the meetings obsessed with the ideas of the Secret Rapture, Darby and the other “Brethren” came to stir the seekers into action. It was there that Darby was introduced to the teaching of the Secret Rapture and the famous book by Rabbi Ben-Ezra, who was actually, Jesuit priest Emmanuel Lacunza! Darby was reeling from his interaction with the Irvingites when he heard of an experience of a 15-year-old girl. He traveled to northern Scotland to meet Margaret McDonald, the young girl who had a “vision” during a serious illness that convinced her Christ would come in two stages. He stayed with the family for three days to hear Margarets revelation. It was first the awful state of the land that was pressed upon me. I saw the blindness and infatuation of the people to be very great. I felt the cry of Liberty just to be the hiss of the serpent, to drown them in perdition…Now look out for the sign of the Son of Man…the people of God think they are waiting, but they know not what it is. I felt this needed to be revealed…suddenly what it was burst upon me with a glorious light…men think that it will be something seen by the natural eye; but tis spiritual discernment that is needed, the eye of God in his people…Only those who have the light of God within them will see the sign of his appearance…Tis Christ in us that will lift us up - he is the light - tis only those that are alive in him that will be caught up to meet him in the air…Oh none will be counted worthy of this calling but his body, which is the church, and which must be a candlestick all of gold…This is what we are at present made to pray much for, that speedily we may all be made ready to meet our Lord in the air - and it will be. Jesus wants his bride. His desire is toward us. He that shall come, will come, and will not tarry. Amen and Amen Even so come Lord Jesus. This confirmed in Darby’s heart what he must do. He must teach the Secret Rapture of the Saints. The Secret Rapture teaching was introduced into the United States and Canada in the 1860s and 1870s when Darby visited some six times. A Congregationalist preacher by the name of C. I. Scofield came under the influence of Darby and the Plymouth Brethren. Scofield became a strong promoter of the teaching that had been taught by Darby, whom he considered the most profound Bible student of modern times. He incorporated this teaching into his SCOFIELD REFERENCE BIBLE. The Scofield Reference Bible was destined to have a tremendous impact upon the beliefs of many, when, three million copies were published in the first 50 years! Some looked on the footnotes in the Scofield Bible as “the very Word of God itself!” Lacunza influenced the Bishop of Canterbury, The Bishop influenced Irving. Irving influenced Darby, Darby influenced Scofield, Scofield and Darby influenced D. L. Moody, and Moody, a Baptist, influenced the early PENTECOSTAL MOVEMENT. When the Pentecostal movement formed at the turn of the century and the Assemblies of God held their first General Council in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas they were a small movement and didnt have their own Publishing House. They needed Sunday School and study materials for their Churches - so they bought it from Moody Press which taught the Secret Rapture. Since most of the ministers in evangelical churches did not finish High School much less go to seminary they relied on the footnotes in the Scofield Bible to form their opinion. That is how the Pentecostal and evangelical movement became influenced and saturated with the Secret Rapture doctrine - by a direct chain right back to the Roman Catholic Church! And now, you know the REST OF THE STORY! The Pre-Tribulation theory is currently enjoying tremendous popularity among Evangelicals Christians due to the Left Behind series of books and movies. The theory is also a common belief among those who believe in the “prosperity” gospel that says if we have enough faith we’ll be prosperous and will not have to go through persecutions & suffering. Not having their own End time theology, the Secret Rapture theory seemed custom made for their escapist beliefs. “The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going, (Proverbs 14:15). When we believe something without checking its truth then we are gullible and naive, and sure to be blind led by the blind. Yahweh desires that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4-6). But when people refuse to entertain the truth, He lets them pursue and experience the consequences of falsehood (cf. Rom. 1:18-25). Proof Texts The main proof text that Rapturists give is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18: “…I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that YahShua died and rose again, even so Yahweh will bring with Him those who sleep in YahShua. For this we say to you by the Word of Yahweh, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the King will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the King Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of Yahweh. And the dead in Messiah will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the King in the air. And thus we shall always be with the King. Therefore comfort one another with these words.” As one can see, this is not talking about a rapture. This is the second coming of King Messiah YahShua. The argument here is, some were advocating the false doctrine that the righteous who died before Messiah YahShua’s return died in hopelessness. Rabbi Sha’ul shows that not only do the dead have hope, they are actually at no disadvantage. The living saints shall not precede the resurrected dead (vs. 15). The saved resurrected and the transformed living saints shall be caught up together …in the clouds… (vs. 16). Rapture Arguments Examined Rapturists are always trying to out mercy Yahweh. They say, “Yahweh is a loving Elohim and would NEVER allow his children to suffer through the great tribulation.” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares Yahweh. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa 55:8,9)” This argument is based on ignorance. Yahweh has allowed His most devoted servants to suffer incredibly in this life, even up to the point of martyrdom like Rav Yochannan HaMetbil (John the Baptist), Rabbi Svi (Steven), Rav Yakkov HaTzaddik (James) and Antipas. Moreover, many prophets of Yahweh were killed by Jezebel in her day (1 Kings 18:4, 13). But most noteworthy is how the Father allowed His only begotten son, Rebbe YahShua of Nazareth, to suffer horribly and then die on the hangman’s tree for all of mankind. Yahwehs love permitted all of that to happen and will also allow for the last generation of saints to face the antichrist allowing us who are faithful to reach Petra to await the coming of Messiah . Rapturists mishandle the words of our Messiah. They say, YahShuah promised us the following: “Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. (Revelation 3:10)” Remember that the prophet Daniel went into the lions den and the three Hebrew men -- Hanniah, Azariah and Mishiel -- went into Nebuchadnezzars blazing furnace! Yahweh did not keep them from such a severe life or death test but did keep them from death and also gave them a visitation by Messiah. The most peculiar argument of the Rapturists concerns the Book of Revelation. They say, After Revelation 4:1, we read no more of the church. Yahweh said to John, come up here, which symbolizes the rapture. I challenge that the term “church” as used in the King James Version should be rendered assembly or congregation. While we might not see the word church after the point of Revelation 4:1 in the Book of Revelation, we still read of it with the term saints and multitude which comprise the assembly. “He [Moshiach Neged (the antichrist)] was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. (Revelation 13:7)” “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints. (Revelation 13:10)” “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of Yahwehs fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name. This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey Yahwehs commandments and remain faithful to YahShua. (Rev 14:9-12)” Another argument of the Rapturists is the example of Lot and Noah. They say, Lot was taken out of Sodom before it was destroyed and Noah was in the ark before the flood. Scripture says: “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. (Luke 17:26-30)” Exactly, Lot and Noah experienced the judgment but was protected through it. Finish the Scripture context: “On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lots wife! Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left. Where, Lord? they asked. He replied, Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather. (Luke 17:31-37)” In this passage the evil are taken, not raptured, to judgment. He even explained this to His talmidim (disciples): “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your King will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. (Mat 24:37-44)” The wicked were taken away by the flood, which killed them. Finally, Rapturists really make much of the “Thief in the Night” concept. They quote: I will come on thee as a thief in the night and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 3:3. Or again: Behold I come as a thief, blessed is he that watcheth. Rev. 16:15. However, in both instances just quoted, the secrecy is in connection with the timing not the nature of the event, and it is exactly the same in the other thief text. The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night II Peter 3:10 Here again it is the element of surprise that leads to the use of the thief as a symbol. Rabbi Shimon Kepha (Peter) himself finishes this very same thief text by saying that at the time of the Messiahs coming: The heavens shall pass away with a GREAT NOISE Not much secrecy about that is there? After all did not Rabbi Sha’ul (Paul) tell his readers: But ye brethren ARE NOT in darkness that, that day shall overtake you as a thief. I Thess. 5:4. Frequently coupled with the Secret Rapture doctrine is the equally misguided notion that Messiah can come back at any moment, even tonight, as we so often hear well-meaning Evangelists proclaim. “We expect the Lord at any moment.” It was this very doctrine which had come into the Congregation at Thessalonica that made it necessary for Rabbi Sha’ul to write: Now we beseech you brethren by (concerning) the coming of our King Messiah YahShua, and by (concerning) our gathering together unto Him that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Messiah is at hand (at any moment), let no man deceive you, for that day shall not come except there come, a falling away first and the Man of Sin be revealed. (2 Thessalonians 2:13) Matthew 24 will culminate in the arrival of King YahShua to defeat the enemies of the Kingdom. We interpret all prophecy concerning the End times by the timeline that Rebbe YahShua gave us in Matthew 24. “…as [Messiah] sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? And YahShua answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. (Matthew 24:3, 4)” “But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13)” A Great deception is afoot in the world today, happening right before our very eyes. In fact, it has already affected your families. False doctrines, a different message, and even doctrines of demons have been introduced to many Believers in books, music, videos, teachers and movements that claim to be of Yahweh. “…when they say to you, Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter, should not a people seek their Yahweh? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? To the Torah and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. (Isaiah 8:19-20)” Today we must be informed before we listen to or encourage anyone to go to meetings where false teachers claim to be able to transfer the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands and subsequently soften people up to receive false doctrines, or read a book that misrepresents the Scriptures, or see a movie that seasons itself with Scripture to sell a visual deception, or turn on a Television Network that spews a gaudy, campy, deception to unsuspecting homes, which can ultimately shipwreck their faith or prevent them from ever “coming to the knowledge of truth. (1 Timothy 2:4)” It is no coincidence that the first warning Rebbe YahShua gives about the sign of [His] coming and the end of the age is, Take heed that no one deceives you (Matthew 24:3-4). In fact, warnings about deception are frequent throughout His Olivet Prophecy (verses 4-5, 11, 23-26, 48). The time of the end will be one of falsehood and deceit. Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our King Messiah YahShua and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Messiah had come. Let no one deceive you by any means. . . . (II Thessalonians 2:1-3) I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth. These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you… Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. (1 John 2:21, 26; 3:7)” No example of this is so clearly recognized as is the belief of some devout and patriotic people that their particular nation (using their phraseology) —is Gods country. Season this with religion now you have a combustible mixture that becomes (again using their word) Gods proxy here below, and all its activities—good, bad, or indifferent—are bathed in a heavenly glow of righteousness and glory. Wars and police actions are no longer considered to be aggressive, imperialist, or unwarranted, but instead they are roundly supported as just, honorable, and necessary. Domestic and international policies are presented with religious-sounding phraseology—crusade, reformation, revival, and the like—and with quotations from the Scriptures and eminent religionists of history. A lot of flag waving concerns me. These deceptions of the last days will be difficult to see through. The False Prophet will be allowed to fool almost everyone on earth with his lying wonders. Rebbe YahShua cautions, For false anointed ones and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See I have told you beforehand (Matthew 24:24-25). Rebbe YahShua explains how not to be fooled by deception, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31-32). One can best spot a counterfeit by knowing the original. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of Yahweh; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)” “…when …the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (John 16:13)” The Time Line So here is the scenario that leads up to this: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am anointed, and will deceive many. (Matthew 24:4,5)” “You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard lest, being carried away by the error of unprincipled men, you fall from your own steadfastness...(2 Pet. 3:17)” “For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Messiah YahShua as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the Moshiach Neged. Watch yourselves, that you might not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. Any who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Messiah, does not have Yahweh; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. (2 John 7-11)” The Days of Noah But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:36-44)” “But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of Yahweh so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, Peace and safety! then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation. For Yahweh did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our King Messiah YahShua, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5:1-10)” “Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before Yahweh. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. (Revelation 3:2,3)” “…you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the Beginning of Sorrows. (Matthew 24:6-8)” Birth Pangs of Messiah This “Beginning of Sorrows” is the “Birth pangs of Messiah.” This word, sorrows is a terribly misleading translation by the KJV scholars, for it effectively hides the true meaning of the word Rebbe YahShua really used. This word is Strongs Number, G5604, “odin {o-deen}” which really means the pangs of childbirth. So this passage should be rendered, All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish]. As the 20th century began, storm clouds were forming on the European horizon, as ethnic groups all throughout Europe and Eastern Europe begin to make demands that would soon culminate in World War I. The causes of World War I were several: the Austrian annexation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1908; the Balkan Wars (1912-13); The Armenian Holocaust (1915-23) and the gradual collapse of the Ottoman Empire which weakened the Turkish control over the Middle East, allowing the planned Jewish return to the Land of Israel. On November 2, 1917 the British cabinet issued the famous Balfour Declaration: I have the pleasure in conveying to you, on behalf of His Majestys Government, the following declaration of sympathy with the Jewish Zionist aspirations which have been submitted to, and approved by, the Cabinet. His Majestys Government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people, and will use our best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country. For the first time in the past 2,000 years, a major nation committed itself to the re-birth of Israel. However, after World War I, Britain attempted to distance herself from the Balfour Declaration, leading to the conflict between Arabs and Jews. World War II was the ultimate war that produced the nation of Israel. An Illuminati leader, Adolf Hitler, arose in Germany, promising to end the humiliation suffered at the hands of the Allies, and to restore German might and influence. In his book entitled, Mein Kampf, My Struggle, Hitler promised to annihilate all Jews throughout the world, and to be a kind of Aryan Messiah to establish the Greater Germany he felt would bring the perfect Aryan Super-race and a Reich that would last 1,000 years. The Meshech Chochma (a commentary on the Torah written about 1870) prophesied that German secular Jews were making Germany and its culture their idol, and that Berlin had become their Jerusalem, and that the curses written in the Torah will come against them and that it would come through Germany beginning in Berlin for their defection from Torah and its commandments. In the 1920s Rabbi Schlita called upon the Jews to return to Zion because there was coming a great persecution. The response to his call was apathy. Why should the Jews of Europe leave their conveniences to go into the Judean desert? Only about 200 went with him to Zion. The Holocaust officially began on November 9-10, 1938, on a night called Kristallnacht, in which virtually every synagogue in Germany was destroyed. Then the Nazis began confiscating property owned by Jews and imprisoning Jews in concentration camps. After the outbreak of World War II on September 1, 1939, Hitler began the official extermination program, an effort that ended only in May 1945, when the Allies liberated the last of the death camps. Hitlers Holocaust lasted almost 7 years [2,376 days] 11/9/38 to 5/6/45; the true Antichrist will deal with Israel for exactly 7 Jewish years [2,530 days]. We have been asked to “preach” the coming Kingdom resulting in the return of Messiah but this Redemption “in its time” will come no matter what we do or don’t do.... After the First World War, the Chofetz Chaim said that this was the first battle of Gog and Magog, and in about 25 years (1942) there would be a second world war which would make the first one seem insignificant, and then there would be a third battle … It is a war that will act as a final test of faith in Yahweh. So what is the first sign that will let us know we are entering the “Time of the End?” The horror of the Holocaust set in motion a chain of events in which the United States, now under the leadership of President Truman, firmly backed the re-birth of Israel. This re-birthing took place under the auspices of the United Nations. On May 14, 1948, Israel became a nation once again; after 1,900 years of not having a state, she came back to life again in a single day, as prophesied [Zechariah 3:9]. Now learn this parable from the fig tree (Israel): When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words (Torah) will by no means pass away. (Matthew 24:32-35)” “…your people shall all be righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation. I, Yahweh, will hasten it in its time. (Isaiah 60:21-23) Israel became a nation in one day but only Judah returned in 1948. Now all of Israel is becoming restless and starting to gather. The Gathering All the prophets speak consistently about the Gathering together of Yahweh people in the End-Time. Deuteronomy 32:21 Ezekiel 20:34; 34:11; 37:21; Jeremiah 23:3; Isaiah 11:11; 35:8; 65: 1I; Micah 2:12; Zephaniah 3:12; John 10:16; 1Peter 2:9,10. A 2nd Exodus brings about this gathering. Jeremiah 23:3,6; 51:6-9,13; Ezekiel 34:13 –25; Hosea 2:1 & 15; Zechariah 2, 9, 10; Micah 7:15; Amos 9:11; Joel 2:28-31 Mathew 24:16; John 10:16 I Corinthians 10:11; Revelations 12: 6,15,16 Elijah Cometh “Behold, I will send [Israel] Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of Yahweh. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse (Malachi 4:5-7). “Rebbe YahShua answered, Elijah is coming first and will restore all things. (Matthew 17:11)” Elijah comes heralding the redemption of Israel. Elijah is deeply concerned about Israels suffering and exile, and does what he can to speed the day of deliverance. Rabbi Yose relates how Elijah came to him in a vision and told him that whenever Israelites enter the house of study... the Holy One, Blessed be He, shakes His head and says: Happy is the king who is thus praised in His house! Woe to the father who exiled his children, and woe to the children who are banished from their fathers table (Ber. 3a). At the transfiguration Elijah was seen with Moses because Elijah was to lead the second Exodus just as Moses had liberated the Israelites from Egyptian bondage; also, because his career resembled that of Moses inasmuch as both were granted revelations at Mount Sinai in somewhat similar circumstances (Ex. 3:2, 19:16ff.; 20:18. Deut. 4:11ff., 33ff.; I Kings 19:11-12) Going to Mt. Horeb or Sinai illustrates Elijahs desire to return to the source of Israels faith where he can be renewed spiritually. After a days journey into the wilderness, he wants to die! He prays to Yahweh: Take my life. Elijah is in the wilderness, 40 days and 40 nights. Elijah is revived through the ministry of an angel. Elijah went to the Mount of Horeb and sought refuge in a cave, the same cleft of the rock or cave that Moses had crawled into when Yahweh passed before him. [An angel touched him, and said] Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh. And behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before Yahweh, but Yahweh was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but Yahweh was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but Yahweh was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. So it was, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his Talit and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a voice came to him, and said, What are you doing here, Elijah? And he said, I have been very zealous for Yahweh of hosts; because the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life. … Then Yahweh said to him: I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Ba’al, and every mouth that has not kissed him. (1 Kings 19:11-18) Malachi, the prophet that told us of Elijah’s return, at the close of his book, exclaims reason the End time prophetic mission: “Remember the law of Moses, my servant, to whom I commanded on Horeb, for all Israel, statutes and judgments. (MALACHI 3:22)” How many dangers has the Torah survived since Malachi spoke? How many millions of its followers have fallen by the sword, the famine, the tooth of wild beasts, the boiling sea, the stake, and the scaffold? How have the sons of Jacob wandered, with no human heart to feel for their sorrows? And still two thousand and more years have elapsed, and the law is untouched, unassailed, nay triumphant over many pestilential errors. Arouse then, Israel, remember your Elohim, remember your future glory, your past shame; remember the law under which you have lived so long, a command, yes, but a prophecy also, the sons of Israel will ever remember the Torah, even to the day of the coming of Elijah, who will prepare the way for the Messiah, before cometh the Day of Yahweh, the great and fearful. Michael the Restrainer “…there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.” Michael as the protector of Israel according to Daniel 10: 21. He will be summons up to Heaven so that the administration of the Moshiach Neged can be revealed. “He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:7,8)” Moshiach Neged, Negative Messiah, Anti-Christ YE HAVE HEARD THAT MOSHIACH NEGED SHALL COME-1 Jn 2:18. I...SAW A BEAST (Moshiach Neged) RISE UP OUT OF THE SEA-Rev 13:1. THERE CAME UP AMONG THEM ANOTHER LITTLE HORN (Moshiach Neged)-Dan 7:8. ANOTHER (ruler) SHALL RISE AFTER THEM; AND HE SHALL BE DIVERSE FROM THE FIRST-Dan 7:24. THAT MAN OF SIN BE REVEALED, THE SON OF PERDITION-2 Thes 2:3. THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME-Dan 9:26. Moshiach Neged will grow in fame and popularity, due to his so-called piety and politic. “He shall come in peaceably and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. (Daniel 11:21) His rise to prominence will be supernatural. He will come in his own name. His position, power, and authority will be given to him by haSatan. Much of the world will watch & listen to him by satellite television and by radio. He will be the greatest religious and political leader of our day. The Moshiach Neged or Negative Messiah (Anti-Christ) seizes political and religious control over Jerusalem and all of Israel taking it basically intact and walks into the Temple of Yahweh (3rd Temple, soon to be built) and states that He is the fulfillment of all scriptures, He is the Christ, the Messiah and there is no need to sacrifice unto Yahweh, for He is Elohim (in his mind) (2 Thess 2). “…then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of HaSatan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders (2 Thess. 2:8,9).” “AND HE (Moshiach Neged) SHALL CONFIRM THE COVENANT (Torah) WITH MANY (with Israel) FOR ONE WEEK (seven years) (Dan 9:27). Moshiach Neged restores Israel to a seven year Torah cycle. Once again the Torah is the constitution of Israel. The Knesset would be dissolved and the 70 elders would be reinstated. As a result of this return to covenant in Dan 9:27 Israel will say, We dwell in PEACE AND SAFETY (1 Thes 5:3). “Because you have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with Sheol we are in agreement. When the overflowing scourge passes through, it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves. (Isaiah 28:15)” The Temple is rebuilt. Sacrifices and oblations will begin as in ancient times. In the middle of the seven year Torah cycle, Moshiach Neged is assassinated by a wound in his head with some sort of a weapon. Shortly thereafter (possibly from Good Friday till Sunday), Moshiach Neged comes back to life. “IN THE MIDST OF THE WEEK (of Covenant) HE (the Antichrist) SHALL CAUSE THE SACRIFICE AND THE OBLATION (or offering) TO CEASE (or end)-Dan 9:27. He moves into the Temple in Jerusalem and stops the sacrifices and oblations. “HIS DEADLY (or fatal) WOUND WAS HEALED (Rev 13:3). “WHICH HAD THE WOUND BY A SWORD, AND DID LIVE (Rev 13:14).” Abomination of Desolation The Moshiach Neged is aided by the Great False Prophet who creates a Golem (clay figure) in the likeness of the Moshiach Neged. The creation of golems is outlined in the Sefer Yetzirah, the Book of Creation. The golem is a manlike creature that is created by use of mystical powers. The word golem comes from the Hebrew word gelem, meaning raw material. The golem is outwardly a real person. He is created from red clay, as was the first man. After forming the clay into the likeness of a man you write t m a EMET or truth on its forehead. You then whisper the 72 lettered name of Yahweh in its ear and it comes alive. Legend is this has been done before. Rabbi Elias shaped the form of a man from clay and inscribed the Hebrew word t m a EMET, or truth, on the forehead of the clay man, thus granting it life. The golem performed menial tasks, but as its life continued it grew stronger and larger. Elias felt threatened when the golem eventually became overwhelmingly large. Elias ordered the golem to lace its shoe, causing the golem to bend down low enough for Elias to reach its head. He destroyed the golem by erasing the first letter a aleph from t m a EMET, making it the word for death, MET, death. Upon the golems death, it reverted back to a gigantic pile of clay, which toppled, crushing Elias beneath. The most famous legend of golem creation centers around Rabbi Low ben Bezaleel, also referred to as the Maharal (1525-1609) in 16th century Prague. Rabbi Low, with assistance from his son-in-law Rabbi Isaac ha-Kohen and disciple Rabbi Yaaqov Sason ha-Levi, created a nine-foot tall golem named Joseph from dust and clay. The one-eyed golem patrolled the city streets of Prague, to defend its Jewish citizens. One Shabbat night, the golem began a rampage. Rabbi Low vanquished the golem by writing the name of Yahweh on paper and placing the paper within the golems mouth. The remains were placed within the attic of the synagogue, the Alt Neu-schul, which can still be seen today. “Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666. (Revelation 13:11-18)” “AND THERE WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM A MOUTH SPEAKING GREAT THINGS (or proud words) AND (arrogant) BLASPHEMIES. AND HE (or it) OPENED HIS MOUTH IN BLASPHEMY AGAINST YAHWEH, TO BLASPHEME (or slander, or insult) HIS NAME, AND HIS TABERNACLE (or dwelling place), AND THEM THAT DWELL (or live) IN HEAVEN (Rev 13:5, 6).” “HE SHALL SPEAK GREAT WORDS AGAINST THE MOST HIGH (Dan 7:25).” “HE SHALL...SPEAK...AGAINST THE El OF Elohim (Dan 11:36).” “THE KING (Moshiach Neged)…SHALL SPEAK MARVELLOUS (or unheard-of) THINGS AGAINST THE El OF Elohim (Dan 11:36).” The Great Tribulation This is the “Abomination of Desolation” set up in the Temple, which is enough time for us to make our escape as instructed us by King Messiah YahShua... Then let them, which be in Judea, FLEE into the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. (Matthew 24:16-21)” “And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book. (Daniel 12:1)” IT IS YET FOR A TIME APPOINTED-Dan 11:35 The length of the Tribulation is traditionally considered to be 7 years, or 84 months, or 2520 days. It can be divided into two equal parts of 3 ½ years, or 42 months, or 1260 days. The Tribulation begins with the “Abomination of Desolation” set up in the Temple. Yahweh shortens the Tribulation for Israel’s sake, else all creation would be destroyed. The Second Exodus “Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Messiah! or There! do not believe it. For false messiahs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you, Look, He is in the desert! do not go out; or Look, He is in the inner rooms! do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. (Matthew 24:23-27)” At this point Israel and the righteous Gentiles must decide which side they are on. (Amos 5:4-15) “For behold, Yahweh will come with fire and with His chariots, like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury, and His rebuke with flames of fire. For by fire and by His sword Yahweh will judge all flesh; and the slain of Yahweh shall be many. Those who set themselves apart and purify themselves, to go to the gardens after an idol in the midst, eating swines flesh and the abomination (food offered to the Golem) and the mouse, shall be consumed together, says Yahweh. For I know their works and their thoughts. It shall be that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come and see My glory. I will set a sign among them; and those among them who escape I will send to the nations: to Tarshish and Put (Jeremiah 46:9) and Lud, who draw the bow, and Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands afar off who have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. Then they shall bring all your brethren for an offering to Yahweh out of all nations, on horses and in chariots and in litters, on mules and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says Yahweh, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of Yahweh. And I will also take some of them for priests and Levites, says Yahweh. (Isaiah 66:15-21)” The Martyrs “So I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hades followed with him. And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth. “The saints shall be given into his hand for 3 ½ years. “AND WHEN HE (Moshiach Neged) COMETH, HE MUST CONTINUE A SHORT SPACE (or a little while) (Rev 17:10).” “AND POWER (or authority) WAS GIVEN UNTO HIM TO CONTINUE (or exercise his authority for) FORTY AND TWO MONTHS… AND IT WAS GIVEN (or allowed) UNTO HIM (the Antichrist) TO MAKE WAR WITH THE SAINTS (or Gods holy people), AND TO OVERCOME (or conquer, or defeat) THEM (Rev 13:5,7).” “AND THEY (the saints) SHALL BE GIVEN INTO HIS HAND (or handed over to him) UNTIL A TIME AND TIMES AND THE DIVIDING OF TIME (Dan 7:25).” “EVEN UNTIL THE CONSUMMATION (or end) (Dan 9:27).” Moshiach Neged shall reign for 3 1/2 years, or 42 months, or 1260 days, until the end of the time that is determined for him to reign. Moshiach Neged shall prosper TILL THE INDIGNATION (or time of wrath) BE ACCOMPLISHED (or completed) (Dan 11:36).” “When He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the spirits of those who had been slain for the word of Yahweh and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth? (Revelation 6:8-10) As the Pharaoh chased the first Children of Israel, so shall Moshiach Neged chase us to the Crossing of the Jordan and continue to persecute as we flee down the Kings Highway towards our resting place in Petra. “Now when the dragon (HaSatan) saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman (Israel) who gave birth to the male Child (Messiah). But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place (Petra), where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time (3 ½ years), from the presence of the serpent. So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood, which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of Yahweh and have the testimony of Messiah YahShua (Revelation 12:13-17).” The Two Olive Trees – The Two Witnesses In Israelite wedding ceremonies there are two friends of the bridegroom that act as two witnesses. One is a special help to the groom and the other is a special help to the bride. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. (Revelation 11:3) These 2 witnesses (Daniel HaNavi & Rabbi Yochannan) are clothed in sackcloth, a symbol of bitter mourning, a weeping, sadness, brokenness, and repentance before Yahweh. They minister for 3 ½ years. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the Elohim of the earth. (Revelation 11:4) “[Zechariah] said, I am looking, and there is a lamp stand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left.
