The Ray Rice case really bugged me. Im not going to go into whether or not a man should hit a woman, but ABC News shows what people do when a woman hits a man and does nothing. Domestic violence on men by women is a SERIOUS issue! It shouldnt come stigmatized by shes too weak to hurt him! Almost 200 people after hours walk by without saying anything while she chokes, hits, and abuses the man. One of the people who walked by was a police officer, who said he wouldve stopped him if he was abusing her, but refused to stop her hitting him. Some women even cheered for her, automatically, along with many others, that he cheated. This is victim blaming at its most despicable. Its like saying women deserved to get raped because they probably led him on. IT IS NOT OK FOR WOMEN TO HIT MEN! More women abuse men than men abuse women- its just that men do more damage when they do. The lack of men reporting abuse by a woman (for fear of shame), if revealed would show even higher numbers. This whole oh the man was guilty because he hit her even though she hit him has to stop! Violence is not the answer, and if you blame the man for getting hit when he did nothing, youre sick. This shows the true double standard behind women hitting men and men hitting women, and Im sick of this double standard. It has to end. youtu.be/LlFAd4YdQks
