The Reason to Consider Fostering a Furbaby. I found this quote from Jennifer Skiff “Dogs, for a reason that can only be described as divine, have the ability to forgive, let go of the past, and live each day joyously. It’s something the rest of us strive for.” After Blaxx being adopted on Sunday, I realized why I foster. I foster to to make a difference in ONE dogs life, to help nuture, love and learn what makes them special. Blaxx was definitely the hardest foster we had as we had to make sure we prepared him to be the best dog he could be. It took months of training, patience, understanding what he needed and most importantly earning his trust. Sunday as he walked out of Petco all he would do was turn around looking for me as unsure as if it was ok to do so. I walked over to him and gave him his last kiss and said it is going to be ok and I love you, handsome and than he just walked away without a care in the world and never looked back again. He trusted me that I had chosen the family that he has always deserved. I want to thanks Blaxx for reminding me why I foster.
