The Redlands Sustainability Network presents DEFY THE DROUGHT GO NATIVE! Come to a public forum on growing native drought tolerant plants and a NATIVE PLANT SALE! Saturday, October 25th from 3pm to 5pm at the Redlands United Church of Christ 168 Bellevue, Redlands (corner of Bellevue & Olive – parking lot off Bellevue) in cooperation with Inland Empire Resources Conservation District (IERCD) and Wild California Native plants are beautiful and hardy! Learn from Linda Richards about how to select, plant and care for a native California garden. Wild California is a local nursery offering a diverse palette of California native plants and seeds for public and residential landscaping, as well as for habitat restoration and ecological rehabilitation. At 3pm Linda Richards will share her story of converting her lawn into a drought-tolerant landscape using California native plants. Her talk will be followed by the plant sale. A free plant guide will be available to all participants. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
