The Resilience Committee of Boulder County’s Long-term Flood - TopicsExpress

The Resilience Committee of Boulder County’s Long-term Flood Recovery Group would like to invite you to a Nederland specific community conversation about preparedness, strength, and recovery from disaster. The recent flooding in September 2013 has revealed both strengths and weaknesses throughout the county that impacted business, non-profit, and faith sectors on both an individual and inter-org level. These community conversations will be a chance to examine what worked and what didn’t, how our mountain communities can be better prepared for future events, and what connections, networks, and actions will build Boulder County’s employment centers and leaders to be stronger, more agile, and able to bounce forward from any future adversity. The information gathered at this meeting will not only help Nederland to increase resiliency but will also be aggregated with data gathered from the other resiliency meetings across Boulder County to be shared at the BoCoStrong Resiliency summit around the first anniversary of the flood. Visit bocostrong.org for more information. This meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 30th, 6:30 pm at the Nederland Community Center. Refreshments will be provided.
