The Rez Radio Song of the Week is actually a trailer for a documentary about The Hollies released two years ago. Slightly more successful in their native England, the group still had 11 songs in the American Hot 100. Founded by grade school friends Graham Nash and Alan Clarke, the group popularized three-part harmony in popular music in the rock era. Graham Nash moved on to another famous 3-part harmony act in 1969 ... Crosby, Stills and Nash. The Hollies continued on and had two of their biggest hits after he left, "Long Cool Woman" and "The Air That I Breathe". The trailer includes partial interviews with group members and a unique example of how they recorded their harmonies on "Carrie Anne" at Abbey Road Studios in 1966. youtube/watch?v=7tpIcUwG5l4
