The Rhodes Show is very sad to announce the passing of The Girl With The Golden Voice, Bea Hitt Rhodes, last night (Saturday) just before 9pm. Beatrice was one of the original Rhodes siblings, (along with Slim, Speck and Dusty), to begin playing on street corners in small Arkansas communities in the early 1930s and ultimately touring the country entertaining on the RKO Theater circuit. An incredible Christian woman, fiddler, singer and entertainer, wife, sister, mother, aunt, grand-mother, and great-grandmother...and a friend to all she met. A very heavy page to turn for her family and friends, but the burden is made lighter knowing she is in paradise. God bless you, Aunt Bea...
