The Ridgeway is an ancient trackway described as Britains oldest road. Yesterday I finished walking it, from end to end, most of it twice (one in each direction), and accompanied on this section by Caspar. (Thanks also to Nicci who joined me for one other section, and Scooter Jackson who walked the whole thing with me, probably four times over.) The trail starts near Avebury in Wiltshire and runs through Oxfordshire and Berkshire to Buckinghamshire. It is 87 miles (139km) long.
