Thats what its there for. Time to seek whats important in a Bible study. After all, its a Bible study not a book club. We can set and talk for hours on end, about the Bible still being listed as a literary great, if it were just a book, but thats not what were here for. So lets get into the heart of the matter. I dont know about you, but I myself, am continually confronted with the worldly telling me what a Christian is. Funny thing is, they always attack me with what I was, and dodge what I am now. I shouldnt have to tell you this, but fear not, God said they would do this to you. So lets not concentrate this on them, instead lets look at us. We in America, just had a big election we in America, were promised all kinds of conservative values to gain our vote. Now that the election is over, the soon to be, Senate Majority Leader, whom won on these values is already waffling on these values. This is not a righteous man. Righteous, means right with God. Lets look at some people that were right with God. Lets start with Noah, everybody knows Noah and his boat. Noah was a drunk, Noah like Moses was hot tempered. Moses, another right man in Gods eyes, murdered and we could go pick on King David again, but if you hadnt got him by now, you never will. So we got old Noah, Moses, David, we can throw King Solomon in, for grins and giggles, none of these men were perfect. All of these men sinned, all of these men did wrong all of these men, fell short of perfect. Now I could go on and on, I could remind you that even Elijah fell short, but thats not the point. The point is, you will find no perfect person, other than Jesus Christ. Now the people at the time, said Jesus wasnt perfect, but if you really read the Bible, not even the most astute of the time, could figure out anything Jesus did wrong. So in the end, they opted just to lie on Jesus, and when confronted with no evidence of their lie, their answer was, kill Him anyway. The Bible said that man would do that. Man is not your God! Man is a failure just like you! Just like you have problems, they have problems! I dont care how perfect they tell you their life is; the more perfect, the bigger the lie. I promise you, that even Bill Gates, has a problem life. If anyone doubts me, try using Windows 8, a product so good, everyone is getting their computer scorched and reprogrammed with Windows 7. By the way, I will soon join that list of everyones. So that leaves us with the question of, what is God looking at? I must remind you again, God is not looking on human terms. He is not looking at you to have His perfection. People may be, God is not! Well what about, when people dont see God perfect? How can imperfection know divine perfection? It cant. Last I read, science still says that gravity cant exist. Yet it does. Math still says, a bumble bee doesnt fly, and science says, very regularly, oops we got that wrong. What will be the tally of the end times, science oops we got that wrong? Truth be told, we wont know until end times. But truth be told, it will be immense. And truth be told, in our times, as in any time of the stage of development of man, man thinks man is 100% right! Mans thoughts like this, lead to thinking the world is flat, lead to thinking of spontaneous generation, which still has to be true, if Darwinism is correct. Lead to thinking that white people and black peoples blood cant be shared, this is man logic. And in todays world, we have a new generation of man logic, just as ignorant, but yet just as accepted by the world. Time marches on. Gods plan, marches on. Times may change, but man is still the same. Man seeks righteousness in his own eyes, i.e. man seeks to be right in his own eyes. In Christian circles, a fool is right in his own eyes, and make no mistake about it, the term fool translates back to a disbeliever in God. This would encompass both the pagan and atheist. How is it then! That a man is right? Well Ive said it to you, time and time again before, the righteousness that you spend your daily life doing, the Lord your God has told you, is filthy rags, translates back to menstrual rags. So how are you right? Lets look at that, and this Bible study will get real short, real quick, because truth is not long winded, used car salesmen are. Proverbs 24:14-18 Amplified Bible (AMP) 14 So shall you know skillful and godly Wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then shall there be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. 15 Lie not in wait as a wicked man against the dwelling of the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God); destroy not his resting-place; 16 For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity. 17 Rejoice not when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles or is overthrown, 18 Lest the Lord see it and it be evil in His eyes and displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him [to expend it upon you, the worse offender]. Proverbs 21:21 Amplified Bible (AMP) 21 He who earnestly seeks after and craves righteousness, mercy, and loving-kindness will find life in addition to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) and honor. Psalm 37:28 Amplified Bible (AMP) 28 For the Lord delights in justice and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever, but the offspring of the wicked [in time] shall be cut off. For a fool is right in his own eyes? Do you not see that from the world everyday? Do you see a pattern of what is right, from these verses? I do. There is a constant pattern, not a pattern of perfection, but a pattern of seeking mercy and justice. See these old Bible dudes, they were as imperfect as you, and though the calendar date may have changed, they face the same life challenge you do. And like you, facing them they had their good days and bad days, just like you. And finally! Its not to your hand, nor the opinion of other men, that make you right before God! It is the blood covering of Christ Jesus that makes you right before God! So any outside of that blood covering, that want to say, you wrong; are fools right in their own eyes! Now the last song said, we decided to make a stand, where did you decide to stand with? The world or God? I promise you, the world is always gonna hate God. God came to see the world, and the world nailed Him to a cross, for they would rather be right in their own eyes. You ever think how this world may be different had the people, had not been right in their eyes and known back then, that God was standing before them? Well then you can translate that to modern time, because God is still standing right before them and the same ones are still right in their own eyes. The same ones are still not righteous. The same ones back then: Well? Everything old is new again, and history repeats itself. This is true, proven time and time again and the fools their always right in their eyes. Man has always been right in their own eyes, man always will be. Man gets to change his facts and figures and still say its right. Now where I grew up, thats a lie. Today thats science. God has never changed! Man has always struggled to understand God, but God has never changed. And since man cannot understand God, today man calls God a lie. Am I the only one that seems backwards to? Or as where I come from, bassackwards? The president gives a state of the union address, and its always full of bullshit. This was a state of mankind address, it was blunt and it was honest and you will bullshit it away! Except for a few! One third of all mankind to be exact! God even knew that. In closing: Putting on airs, does not work. Building a religion? That is a joke to God! But man with be happy to agree with both of them, and man will be happy to attack the real God Christ Jesus.
