The Ringling Museum of Art interviewed Beth Lipman to delve deeper into the inspiration behind “Precarious Possessions,” the show on display there now. Though the impressive glass sculptures are elegant, there is a more sinister effect at work. Lipman explains that in her work, she is trying to come to terms with mortality, and also ways that we compensate... by amassing things, and accumulating things.
