The Rio Rancho Police Department is proud to announce the promotion of five officers in recent weeks. Captain Gary Wiseman was promoted to Deputy Chief. Deputy Chief Wiseman’s career spans 19 years with the Department. He will direct the Departments Support Services Bureau. Deputy Chief Wiseman is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy. Lieutenant Jason Bowie was promoted to captain. Captain Bowie has been with the Department since 1994. His new assignment will be as the commander of the Patrol Division. Ken Willey was promoted from sergeant to lieutenant. Lieutenant Willey is a 12 year veteran of the Department and his new responsibility will be to command several patrol shifts. Greg Buhl and Nick Army were promoted to sergeant. Sergeant Buhl is a 10 year veteran of the Department, and Sergeant Army was hired in 2008. Sergeant Buhl and Sergeant Army will supervise patrol squads. These promotions will continue the Rio Rancho Police Departments history of exemplary service to the citizens of Rio Rancho.
