The Road of Humility Zechariah 9:9a (New Living - TopicsExpress

The Road of Humility Zechariah 9:9a (New Living Translation) Look, your king is coming to you. He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey—riding on a donkey’s colt. 2 Corinthians 4:10-11 (New Living Translation) Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. Isaiah 35:8 (New Living Translation) And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there. The road of humility is a dark and mysterious road, a bumpy road with every kind of pothole and pitfall. It’s an especially precarious road with many twist and detours, carefully engineered to not only make you a child of God but a dependent of God. I read that it was designed specifically to kill you so that Jesus Christ our Lord may be glorified in you and through you. I heard that as you travel up that road the mountains get higher and higher. They say way up there is a big ole mountain very few ever get over. Some who did have reported, it’s there that the road of humility becomes the Highway of the Holy.
