The Rockford Fire Department responded to a fire in an abandoned home at 911 Acorn just after midnight. The fire was determined to be arson. There have been numerous arson fires in abandoned house in the area over the last 3 weeks. We ask that anyone with information about the arsonist call 815 987-5660. The person, or persons, responsible for these fires needs to be stopped and helped before someone is seriously injured. The house is a total loss and damage is estimated at $20,000.
