What a pathetic scenario in our life time in the land of Nawab Sir Salimullah who laid down his life for the distressed people of the region in the teeth of violent opposition from a communally oriented coterie based in Kolkata and patronised by Robindro Nath Tagore, Sir Ashutosh Mukarjee and Bonkim Chandro. The dead body of Shere Bangla would turn in amazement in his grave having seen the plight of Bangladesh Army in the Dhaka Cantonment. When Shere Bangla , the undisputed leader of Bengal got the news of the then Vice Roys order to shoot on the demonstrating masses in Kolkata during the British Rule in India, he ran to join the demonstration and declared, If any bullet is fired by the security forces of the British Raj, A K Fazlul Hague is there on top of the procession to take the first bullet on his chest. The Vice Roy got alarmed and immediately withdrew his shooting order. The ending of British Rule in India did not come just like that. A glorious history of outstanding role of a galaxy of shining stars of Bengal go with it. The loose claim of the greatest son of a thousand years is nothing but a huge mockery. The land of General Osmani and Shahid Zia Ur Rahman is being tainted by a bunch of unworthy coward Generals ostensibly to become a pet of our Big Brother Neighbour . We seem to be indulging in opening the darkest chapter of our history following the foot steps of a monstrous character whose name shall remain a swear word for all time to come. The ghost of Mirjafor is haunting in all of our Cantonments creating a nightmare which has alarmed the entire nation. 160 millions of our population are at wits end , not knowing how to cope with this alarming situation. When the defenders of your nation become an accomplice to killing your own people, where do you run for defence and security ? Thats the biggest dilemma facing the nation today. There is a silver lining in the cloud and that we have to bear in mind to keep our hope alive. What else can we do when no other option can be found in the horizon ? The added complexity and drama lie in the absence of a clear sign to identify between friends and foes in the political arena. All this makes the situation seemingly insurmountable to overcome but we cannot afford to give way. We must stand firm and march on with courage and unfettered conviction . Surrender is a word never to be found in our dictionary. We have proved this in the past and we will never allow our glorious history to be tarnished for fear of a bunch of crooked traitors. The exiles from Bangladesh,now occupying key positions in their new homes across our frontiers find it difficult to reconcile with reality. Their dream coincides with that of Nehru Doctrine of Undivided India. They are in the pivotal role of a conspiracy of annexation, a hidden agenda and a dream thats in the front of all that is happening with the help of Raw using their pets inside Bangladesh. Our Armed Forces have been chickened and that is becoming a frustration and the biggest surprise of the century. This is immeasurably unbelievable but, yet a stark fact of life. However, we have to move on and fight for our right to stay in the World Map as an Independent , Sovereign Nation. A nation of 160 millions is unbeatable by any power on earth.
