The SLFA elections are done and over,some are still bitter while others put on broad smiles.Now that it is over,it is but good to do a some analysis from FIFA and CAF to examine how transparent these bodies are.Let start our discuss with FIFA, Mr.Joseph Blatter is the President, was he elected or selected? What happen to the the candidates from Qatar, he was knocked down by allegations of voters bribery during that period.Look CAF president Mr.Issa Hayatou, can someone please tell me how long he has been president of Caf, more than two decades.These people are in control of the game without allowing any leadership changes.Let look at the allegations against Mr.Hayatou they were swept under the carpet.Yet, they call for fair play in the pitch, are they observing this particular rule? Your guess is as good as mine. We all love football like ourselves, either directly or indirectly our resources are in it.Some of us are very passionate for the discipline that other think we are idlers, but that is not the case. These two bodies needs to re-examine themselves to see if they are really democratic or authocratic.Each time someone want to bring some changes, within these ranks, you will have they against you and will shout political interference. Therefore, FIFA AND CAF needs reforms and review of their constitution and policies stating the term for each president which is missing right now. Lonta.
