The SOUMA Awards was conceptualized with the aim of recognizing excellence in the music industry for upcoming musicians/ artists by Huvera Entertainment, a 100% black-owned media company, was established in 2008 to harness business and economic opportunities, create employment and help to usher the previously disadvantaged community into the hitherto media sector and mainstream of economic activity . The SOUMA Awards are entering their second year in 2014. The inaugural unified awards were held in October 2013, Stakeholders agreed to the establishment of an award ceremony that is representative and unified the sector. PURPOSE The SOUMA Awards will include upcoming artists from all across the country.
