The STATUS of those who are soft and gentle, easy-going with the people and closer to them. `Abdullaah bin Mas`ood رضي الله عنه narrated that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Shall I not inform you of whom the Fire is unlawful and he is unlawful for the Fire? Every person who is near (to the people), amicable, and easy (to deal with).” [Sunan Tirmidhee (2676) and graded as “Saheeh li ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (938)] In the narration from Imaam Ahmad on the authority of `Abdullaah Ibn Mas`ood رضي الله عنه it is that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Forbidden to the Fire is everyone who has a soft, gentle, easy-going disposition and is close to the people.” [Musnad Ahmad (3938) and it is “Saheeh li ghairihee” as already preceded earlier] Via A Brother
