The Sahabah asked The Prophet (saw) about the Dajjal, “O Messenger of Allah, how long will he stay on earth?” He replied, “Forty days; a day like a year, a day like a month, a day like a week, and the rest of the days like your days.” The Sahabah asked, “O Messenger of Allah, on that day which is like a year, will the Salat (prayers) of one day be sufficient for us?” Rasul Allah (saw) replied, “No. Calculate the time (for prayer).” [Sahih Muslim] - SubhanAllah, when we were asked that question tonight about how does this make us feel or what do we think of when we are told 40 days but each day will be different timings we were all confused, silent, or wondering how that would work. The first thing that the sahaba RathiAllahu 3anhuma thought about was their salah. Think about that for minute...when we go on a trip or go out with friends or anything we do, is salah our first priority? Our number one problem is that we work the salah times around our day when we are supposed to work our days around salah times. Salah should always be our number one priority in whatever we do. - GEMS from Br. Mohammad Badawys lecture tonight.
