The Salinas City Elementary School Foundation was founded in 2005 by concerned community members. Our purpose is to raise funds to provide our elementary students with music, technology and art education when State budgeting does not make these opportunities available to our students. We are currently able to provide choral music education to the schools but in order to do this, a yearly shortfall remains that must be covered to complete the minimal services for choral music. Currently the Salinas City Elementary School District is able to offer fine arts programs through State funding, Measure V and other funding sources. It is the goal of the Salinas City Elementary Education Foundation to be able to continue and to expand these programs when current funding is not available. The following are some current programs: • Vocal Music • Instrumental Music • Royal King Arts Academies • Dancing Classrooms • Summer Arts Programs
