The Salvation Army USA is concerned about security for the annual Christmas Family Feast. I just got a copy of the letter being sent to volunteers. In it, officials mention the demonstrations surrounding the Dontre Hamilton charging decision. We’re concerned about the possible behavior of outsiders who disagree with the decision rendered, the letter reads. It continues: In light of the atmosphere, we ask that each of you use your best judgment to determine if you wish to volunteer this year. While there have been no incidents of civil unrest or violence - and we are prayerful that there will be none - we encourage those who will join us to use all due caution as you make your way to the Wisconsin Center. We are taking steps to ensure the safety of volunteers, guests and staff.
