The Samoan Synod will be holding its National Tupulaga Talavou (Youth) Camp at Ngaruawahia Christian Campsite from Friday 29th May to Monday 1st June, 2015. They are looking to host between two to four artists for Saturday and Sunday for two main sessions for a few hours each day. Artists can share a bit about their journey to becoming artists and encouraging others in their passion for art. A hands-on workshop would be great for participants to put their passions into practise and have something showcased to the whole gathering. It would be envisioned that the hands-on experience is based around the theme: MISSION: CHRIST POSSIBLE. Although this is a Youth Event, the workshops will comprise of an age range between 13-40, and with such a high number in attendance, they are aiming to limit workshops to a maximum of 30 people. Note that there are two Art Corners. If artists are to travel from outside of Hamilton, they are more than happy to assist with transport and arrange accommodation. However, this would need to be discussed in more detail with the artist. The same will apply to materials that are required to implement the Creative Corner (Workshop).
