The Sango roundabout traffic made me make a de tour through Ota. Little did I know this was not an accident. It was a divine opportunity for me to capture one monument that adorn Ogun West, one so very historical but sadly the least mentioned both in literary or oral works. The 2nd storey building in Nigeria was built in 1842 at Ota by the White Missionaries when they left Badagry for Abeokuta. The building stands till today as it was built over 150 years ago! I saw the chair on which Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther sat, the office he used to translate a portion of the English Bible to Yoruba and many more interesting things.
