The Santa Barbara International Film Festival is offering a three-day symposium (January 30 – February 1, 2015) to undergraduate students pursuing a film degree. The program will focus on film appreciation with an emphasis on criticism and analysis. Students will have the opportunity to learn from notable industry professionals and get a behind-the-scenes look at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. This program offers a unique mix of guided and self-guided opportunities, allowing students to customize the experience and benefit from all the Festival has to offer. Students will have access to screenings, panels, Q&A sessions, celebrity tribute events, and private sessions with filmmakers and media professionals in a classroom setting. Students will receive festival passes, overnight accommodations Thursday through Sunday, and transportation to program venues.
