The Sarcophagi of The« Second Hideout of Deir El-Bahari » (Bab El-Gasus) at the Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire in Brussels. ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE PARTICIPATION IN THE ADVANCED TRAINING COURSE AIMED AT THE SELECTION OF THE OPERATIONAL EQUIPE OF THE ISTITUTO EUROPEO DEL RESTAURO. On the occasion of the international project for the restoration of five egyptian sarcophagi of the XXI dynasty, belonging to the Collection of the Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire in Brussels, the Istituto Europeo del Restauro intends to form an équipe of 9 restorators, specialised in wooden artworks. For this purpose, the Institute institutes an Advanced Training Course for the duration of 1100 hours, entitled « The restoration of the archeological wood », to be held from January 2015 to July 2015 with an attendance of eight hours per day. Among the candidates, that will be admitted and that will carry out the program with profit passing all the tests during the course, will be chosen the participants in the restoration équipe for the intervention on the sarcophagi, at the Musées Royaux d’Art et d’Histoire in Brussels. Those in possession of the following requisites may participate in the announcement : 1) Candidates of Italian and foreign nationality 2) Aged between 22 and 35 years 3) In possession of qualifications related to university classes like the preservation and restoration of cultural heritage or in possession of résumé with proven experience in the restoration field. The cost of the course, reduced of 50% thanks to the contribution of industries collaborating with the Institute, is € 4,000.00.
