The School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna is pleased to invite you to the maiden edition of her Nigeria Robotics Championship (NIROC) which will hold from 23rd to 28th September, 2013 at the Indoor Sport Complex, FUT Minna, Gidan Kwano Campus, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. My friend Abiodun Musa Aibinu is spear-heading a contest for the creative minds across the country. If you know anyone who fits into this contest. Check the link below... The general framework of modern system of education now includes the need to make creative thinking skills explicit in the curriculum that will among others, create dispositions and habits of good thinking, improve the wits and dexterity of learners, and most importantly equip them with necessary tools needed to face future challenges. Meanwhile, the Nigerian educational system continues to nurture talented youths with little or no creativity in their thought process which reduces the long number of schooling years of our students to mere certificates. We at SICT, FUT Minna believes in unlimited capacity of our youth and we are poised to stimulating their intelligence through our focused networks of catch-them-young robotics activities to achieve maximum academic excellence. One of such is the Nigeria Robotics Championship. Your participation will go a long way in assuring the success of the Championship and further elevating and portraying the image of your school as an innovative and technological avenue to for bringing out talents in youths. futminna.edu.ng/niroc/index.php/about
