The Scottish Evening News Great news.......that on the heels of the Scottish referendum, an independent news broadcaster is to be launched in Scotland in April 2015. So, youre probably thinking.....come on, do we really need another tv channel, weve got so many already? Yes, in UK we DO have many channels......the problem in Scotlands case, and this was emphasised during the referendum campaign, is that ALL the channels that serve Scotland (supposedly with Scottish content and interests).....are controlled by London and London based financial investors with sympathetic bias in favour of Westminster and UK. This bias became glaringly obvious 2 weeks before the Scottish referendum when Nick Robinson (Chief Political Editor of the BBC) blatantly LIED about Alex Salmonds answer to a loaded question. Mr Salmond spent 7 minutes answering Robinsons question fully and comprehensively.......but in Robinsons version televised throughout the UK including Scotland, he stated Salmond refused to answer. That is the kind of political lying that does not sit well with the informed people of Scotland (informed meaning, those who have bothered to look beyond UK-state TV and press). The Robinson caught red-handed on TV lie is one of the reasons all three official Yes parties have seen their memberships swell by more than 300% since September 19th. London media tell us that the Yes parties were defeated soundly and have been broken, but these too are lies and unfortunately for those listening, watching and believing UK-state run television networks in Scotland are being sorrowfully deceived! This new broadcasting channel will be funded by the people of Scotland and NOT the politically motivated lobbyists......it is long overdue and finally, a broadcaster that will present a counter-balance to UK state policies!
