The Scottish Wildcat Orson Rathburn, Jr. After doing some posts on the Clan Motto, I realized that I had not said much about the Cat that is the subject of all this talk. As we all know the Cat in question is the Scottish Wildcat . This is the Cat pictured on our (MacIntosh) as well as other Clan Badges and symbol of Clan Chattan. I cant think of a more appropriate symbol to represent Clans of the Highlands of Scotland than the Scottish Wildcat. I also feel that a more appropriate motto could not have been found than Touch not the Cat bot a glove. As formidable as the Scottish Wildcat appears we should always keep in our thoughts that it is on the verge of extinction. We can be thankful that there are people at work doing all they can to keep this tragedy from happening. It would be nice if we as Cat Clan people could find a way to assist them in this task.
