The Scripture of the Day is: Isaiah 45:20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations; they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. Together, with each other; in union. Those that bowed to an image of wood had no hope and no one to save them in time of desperation. All through the ages God has called people to come to Him and serve Him; some choose to come; others live for things that hold no hope or value and will perish just as we all will perish. The Israelites messed up time after time and served idols; even though they knew better of the true God than people do today. We must learn from their mistakes! Our nation has lost its way; we have placed people in control that bow to idols and seek their own cause. God is our hope; and this verse gives us an important clue to overcoming the evil in which we have come to live. Draw near together; that is what we must do; bind together as never before; seek God together. He will be faithful to help us; let us pray the same prayers over and over and over again. He will hear our cry! God forgive America; forgive us our neglect and selfish ways; forgive us that we have placed wicked people in charge of our lives; now we seek you to deliver us from the bondage that has come into our land to destroy our way of life; we ask you to stand in the middle of this country and cast the sin from our borders. We realize that this is impossible for us; but all things are possible for you. This is how we need to pray daily and we each need to pray this prayer; daily. He will hear and He will answer, if we will seek Him with our whole heart. We need to pray this for our children and for their children; or else they will become captives just like the Israelites children. Never cease to seek for His help; He is our hope; and He is our deliverer! For He is God, and there is none besides Him! ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Father God, save our nation, save our children and save us; you are our hope; and you alone are our deliverer!
