The Seacoast has received its first new Yaesu Fusion repeater. It will be running and in test by the weekend, and is expected to be moved to its permanent location, as soon as its warm and safe enough for tower climbing. The repeater KB1VTL will be on 443.450 and will operate in mixed mode, allowing folks without the fusion radio equipment to get in on the action using FM. In the initial testing phase we will also attempt to connect this machine to the DCS006 reflector allowing a wider scope of user experience. As early as tonight you should be able to operate the machine if you are in range of the East Kingston location. As soon as its warmer, it will be moved to a higher vantage point in the seacoast area. Dave N1fcc is required to send regular testing and operational updates to Yaesu, so please notify him with signal reports. If you have questions about how this operates feel free to post them here and we will try to answer your question for the benefit of others with the same or similar questions. 73 and good DX!
