The Seahawks finally get their noon-hour start. For the 30 years since they retired the number, the organization has been pining for a noon start in a playoff game and it kept falling on deaf ears at league and TV headquarters. But heres why I like the 12:05…it means the flag will be raised at high noon. Its like the organization is saying, You want to take the championship title away from us, were going to act like Gary Cooper and meet you for a showdown. (BTW…its in my top-five of movies all time…and Grace Kelley doesnt kill her guy until 12:06 and Frank Miller gets killed by Gary Cooper at 12:07…so its not like the good stuff all happened at noon anyway.) I love the High Noon analogies for this game. (And if youve never seen the movie, shame on you.)
