The Self and God reside within. But you cannot find It by just looking, by dispassionate observation, like a medical researcher looking at a cell under a microscope. The looking for must be done with reverence, love, passion, looking for ones Beloved Self within, But looking with passion, with love, is going to reawaken mental and physical stuff thoughtlong buried: traumas from childhood, abandonment fears, parnoias, fantasies. All must be accepted and loved and readded to the human self. When the reintegration reaches a certain point, you have the power to see and feel God in all his glory, Self with all its energy and power. Developing love and devotion for all others aids your seeing of Self in them, and thereby helping you see elf in yourself. In the end, Self-Realization is all about persistence and love, while realizing the Absolute is about dispassionate observation. And, in the end you will find both are the same, flip sides of each other.
