The Self is not a thing that can be recognised objectively. It’s - TopicsExpress

The Self is not a thing that can be recognised objectively. It’s like you are recognising what cannot be recognised phenomenally by recognising what can be recognised phenomenally. I’m sorry about the seeming complexity of these words but we require language in our attempt to bring clarity. Language implies duality but this duality is trying to convey non-duality. So this is the challenge. However, if you reflect on what my words are pointing out, you will recognise Truth and admit: ‘Oh my God, it is all so simple.’ We have to employ the consciousness in its most subtle aspect. Some power inside will pull the inquiring mind and intellect into their source, the unchanging and ever-perfect Self. There is a power in you that manifests all activities in life. It brings you to satsang. It wants satsang. It is not just your mind responsible for this. No, it is that inner power that is becoming more and more interested in Itself. Before, it was interested in many things which are all impermanent, but now it is having an attraction for Itself alone. It longs for stability. Now it is smelling its own pure breath and it is deeply attracted to that fragrance again and so it is coming home to itself unforced. This is the true love story of life—the love of the One Self for Itself. And this love is going to supply love to all other loves. You are on the right track... tracking your Self, not tricking yourself. What is left now is a clear and very sober recognition of what is already ever-present. And it is such joy talking about this with earnest seekers , for once embraced, the outcome is pure auspiciousness. ~ Mooji
