The Semantics of FaceBook Like: I wonder, what is actually the meaning of like as a Facebook activity? Someone announces the death of a relative or some other misfortune and people actually come liking that post! Someone needs to do a study of this...maybe liking someones activity could have a semantic gradation from real elation, to appreciation, to something like: ok, I acknowledge receipt of your post. From my observation, it could as well just be akin to saying: ok, here is a return of the favour of your liking my post earlier. Or?
