The Senate finally passed legislation last night to authorize VA clinics in Lafayette and Lake Charles. It’s long overdue, but it’s a huge win for veterans across Louisiana. Especially after this recent crisis surrounding the VA, we must regain the trust of our veterans and make sure they have the resources they need. I’m setting up a meeting with the VA Secretary to make sure they get moving on these clinics as quickly as possible. After all, if it weren’t for their screw-ups, these clinics would have already been built.
