The Sentries and Corps of Drums of Barbados was formed by members of The Barbados Legion, in 2011 primarily to perform the re-enactment of The Change of the Sentry Ceremony. This ceremony is coordinated by The Garrison Historical Consortium Inc. and is a tourist attraction to promote the UNESCO designation of Historic Bridgetown and its Garrison. The Change of the Sentry was a regular activity in the 1600’s when The Garrison was a fortified Fort, and troops were stationed there. This Saturday 27th December is final change of the sentry for 2014 beginning at 11:45 in front of the clock tower the Garrison. See you there
