The Severson Sinclair station in downtown Winona officially closed - TopicsExpress

The Severson Sinclair station in downtown Winona officially closed its doors on Saturday with a special ceremony to retire the giant American Flag that flew over the convenience store. The ceremony was conducted by the American Legion and the Boy Scouts and marked the closing of the store that has been at that location since 1996. While the flag came down there is an indication from the station owners it may be going back up at the Severson Louisa Street location. Meanwhile, the owners say you can continue to purchase gas at the Second and Huff location until the end of the year. The store closed because it is in the right-of-way for the new interstate 43 bridge.
