The Shaka Bra Bras were back on the field tonight and up first on the docket was AB Steel. The Bras had handled AB in their previous two meetings and were looking for the season sweep. AB jumped out early and with some uninspired play from the Bras they were able to hit through their lineup and put the Bras on their heels. The Bras tried to answer but could not muster any hits and after 3 innings found themselves in a deep hole. The boys finally got on the board in the fourth inning but it proved to be much too little much too late. AB took advantage of the lackluster play from the Bras and would run away with the win, handing the Bras their worst defeat, 24-3. The Bras had an hour break before their second game where they would face league cellar-dwellers, the Copperheads. Looking to bounce back from the tough game one loss the Bras would jump on the Copperheads from the start and take out their frustration. In a game that would last only 3 innings, the Bras hit through the order in each one, piling on the runs while keeping the Copperheads held down with their stingy defense. The Bras would bounce back in a big way, taking down the Copperheads 33-4, and earning a split for this week.
