The Sham of it All. Since MY Name Was Mentioned I was at the Democrat Caucus for Frank Burns, you signed in to get in, They picked two people to collect and count ballots and they were sworn in and told their duties, I was one of them. It was ran the same as the one I attended last year, We counted out the ballot so there was one for each voter, and passed them out after the candidates were nominated At the caucus the Chairman asked for nominations, Judge John Burns Stood and nominated his brother Frank Burns, and said a few words about him. Then they asked if there were any other nominations, Our Town Supervisor Mr. James Dawson, stood up and told us he was nominating and backing Will Recore, and for us to support him. After the speeches, Myself and the other voting teller passed out the ballots, As I was handing mine out, one person Refused to vote and pushed his ballot back and said He was not voting, so I sat the ballot aside on the counting table. after the vote we collected them and re-counted them, we got same total for both of us counting, but we were one ballot short, we check the list and then I remembered that I sat the refused ballot aside, we recounted all ballots again and we had the same number we had passed out, Mr. Frank Burns WON the nomination by a landslide with 1-4 votes... Frank Burns, he should be honored to have his brother nominate him, As for the other nominee, the Town Supervisor, Mr.James Dawson who stood up and nominated him, and told how great He is, and to vote for him, didnt even get a vote from Him, He refused to Vote and gave is ballot back and said I am not voting. In the words of the other Candidate.. WELL WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU. And Yes, as for my advertisements on the Brasher /Winthrop Facebook Page, for the Caucus, that predominantly featured Margaret Burns’ photo and proclaiming that the party was putting forward a candidate Margaret would approve of.. yes it was true...and the candidate would be a real Democrat... before ...during... & ...after the election, ....is also true, Not the day after the election like some other Candidate. So far, so dandy, but theres more to it… Long before the deadline for submitting applications to fill the board spot, everybody knew that the Town Supervisor on the Town Board had asked them to vote for a certain candidate, who happens to be registered in the other major political party! Fishy, isnt it? Long before the deadline for submitting applications, everybody knew already who is going to be appointed by the Town Board, And as for a Board Member stating BEST RESUMES the only thing asked for was a so called applications ...that consisted of just a letter stating that you were interest on being on the Town Board. ...
