The Shemitah and the Rapture Just as the seventh day was laid - TopicsExpress

The Shemitah and the Rapture Just as the seventh day was laid out by God as a day of rest in the Hebrew Old Testament, every seventh year was designated as a Shemitah/Sabbath year. A Hebrew week always starts on the first day (Sunday) and ends on the last day (Sabbath/Saturday). God does not start in the middle of a cycle, only at the beginning. The Jewish New Year begins on Tishri 1 and will be on September 15, 2015 this year. According to Jonathan Cahn 2014 may very well be the Shemitah year (Sabbatical year) the last in a cycle of seven. This coming Tishri 1/Sept 2015 would begin the first year in the next seven year cycle. With this in mind let us look at the Pre-tribulation Rapture Time line: 1. Rapture occurs on the Feast of Trumpets/Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanah Rev 4:1 is a picture of the Rapture occuring at the Feast of Trumpets: Rev 4:1 “After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” It is historically taught that doors of Heaven open on the Feasts of Trumpets as John looked and saw a door opened in Heaven. The trumpet refers to the last trump Paul talks about in 1 Cor 15:51-52. After the Feast of Trumpets we have ten days of awe. The ten days starting with Feast of Trumpets and ending with Yom Kippur are commonly known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Noraim) or the Days of Repentance. On Yom Kippur the seven year tributlation will begin. It is said that the doors of Heaven close on Yom Kippur. Seven Years later on the next……… 2. Yom Kippur will be the second coming of Christ. What is very interesting is that if this seventh year falls on the year of the Jubilee (50th year) a great trump is blown. The Bible tells us the Great Trump is blown at the Second Coming of our Messiah. Matthew 24:31 and Isaiah 27:13. Also in the Jubilee year the New Year begins on Tishri 10 rather than Tishri 1. So we next move to the 1,000 year reign of Messiah. 3. Feast of Tabernacles (1,000 year reign) is where Jesus comes and Tabernacles (dwells in His Millennial Kingdom) and we (the saints) will tabernacle (dwell) with Him. There are more Scriptures that tell us that the Rapture will occur on the Feast of Trumpets. It is something that I enjoy studying and encourage others to do the same. Since we are not God, we can never say for sure that it will be this Feast of Trumpets but we are commanded to be looking for Him and that is what we should do.
