The Shepherd’s Task: Tapping the Hidden Genius and Unrealized Potential of Christian Leadership On June 12, St. David’s is proud to have Internationally Recognized Speaker Linda Kohanov author of the Tao of Equus and The Power of the Herd presenting The Shepherd’s Task: Tapping the Hidden Genius and Unrealized Potential of Christian Leadership this Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in the Parish Hall from 9 am – 1 pm Cost: $45 per person or $35 per person (groups of 2 or more registering together). This workshop is for clergy, lay leaders, church members and anyone else seeking a new and innovative approach to leadership and power. Linda will teach leadership, social intelligence and conflict resolution skills she developed through researching traditional pastoral cultures and 20- years of experience with her own herd of horses. She will reconnect us with Christianity’s own pastoral roots where “Jesus actively reinforced a nomadic, non-predatory philosophy at one of the most brutal times in history,” and demonstrated the powerful effects of emotional heroism in creating cultural and spiritual transformation. Linda presents Jesus as a social innovator who introduced advanced principles of emotional intelligence that are especially relevant today, and will outline 10 skills modeled by Jesus that “were so sophisticated that civilization is still trying to catch up.”
