The Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office has arrested four suspects for a commercial burglary that occurred in the 600 block of N. Durand Rd in Venice Twp. At approximately 7:00pm on 9/11/13 an alert neighbor noticed subjects entering a fenced in area of a business and begin removing items by throwing them over the fence and contacted Shiawassee County Central Dispatch to report the incident. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived they located the suspects a short distance from the business and took them into custody without incident. During the course of the attempted theft, the suspects had removed approximately $3000.00 worth of scrap and used vehicle parts that were returned to the owner. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Corunna Police Department and Michigan State Police.
