The Sierra Leone Ambassador in Washington DC and the accountant general Mr Paul Kamara must provide answers to struggling poor Sierra Leonean students languishing in Venezuela. The government of sierra Leone through the bank of sierra Leone made a transaction of $39,600/ to the embassy of sierra Leone in Washington D.C. for allowances of 22 Sierra Leonean student in the Republic of Venezuela to be paid for the 2012-2013 academic year.. After two months of inexplicable delay, the accountant general to the embassy Washington D.C, Mr Paul-Kamara, arrived in Venezuela with only $10,010 of which each student recieved $455 out of $1800 which is the stated amount to be paid, with an excuse that the United States law doesnt permit him to travel with more than $10,000. Mr Paul Kamara didnt give any absolute explanation about the remaining money instead he advised us to write the director of foreign affairs Sierra Leone to modify the means of payment. Our question now is where is the rest of the money? When will we recieve our remaining money? Why should our assigned money be paid in that manner with no concrete explanations. We really need answers as Mr Paul Kamara who was representing the embassy didnt have answers for us at the time he came.
