For more stories, click #6yrs16days I left Kandahar for Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan where HQ International Security Assistance Force (HQ ISAF) resided. To get there we had to fly again to Kabul International Airport. When I arrived, I was welcomed by SLTC Patrick Ong, one of the staff officers supporting the coalition forces there! Here was how far we went back: he was my Platoon Commander back when I was a Cadet in Officer Cadet School (2002); he was a Company Commander while I was a Platoon Commander for the 10th Mono-intake, 1 Guards Battalion (2003); he was later my Wing Commander when I was Platoon Commander in OCS Delta Wing after completing university (2009). And now, here we were in Kabul, Afghanistan (2013). Did not see that coming. – Hoirul
