The Society for Marine Mammalogy announces that the annual competition for its Grants in Aid of Research will be open 1 – 30 June 2013. Information and application procedures are available at marinemammalscience.org under Awards and Grants. Please be sure you meet the eligibility criteria before submitting an application. “These awards are for nationals of emerging and developing countries, particularly early career researchers such as students and researchers with less than 5 years post-doctoral experience, who are conducting research in emerging and developing countries.” Both parts of the qualification statement must be met: who the applicant is and where the applicant is conducting research. It is best to prepare the proposal off line and then cut and paste into the online application form.
